practices
How Visuella protects the personal information entrusted to us and responds when things go wrong. Effective date: 2026-09-09.
Data protection
We implement a variety of security measures to maintain the safety of your personal information. These include:
- Encryption : All sensitive data transmitted between your browser and our servers is encrypted over HTTPS/TLS.
- Access controls : Only authorized personnel have access to sensitive information, and they are bound by confidentiality obligations.
- Data storage : Personal data is stored in secure environments that are not accessible to the public.
Incident response
In the event of a security breach, Visuella has an incident response plan in place to promptly address the issue. Our response includes:
- Identifying and containing the breach;
- Assessing the scope and impact of the breach;
- Notifying affected parties as required by law;
- Implementing measures to prevent future breaches.
Team awareness
People working at Visuella are made aware of data security and the associated best practices, including:
- Recognizing phishing attacks and other social engineering tactics;
- Properly handling sensitive data;
- Being encouraged to use strong passwords and — where supported by the services in use — multi-factor authentication.
Third-party security
We work with trusted third-party service providers who are required to adhere to appropriate security standards. We regularly verify that these partners maintain the necessary security measures to protect your data.
Vulnerability disclosure
Believe you've found a security vulnerability in a Visuella service or app? Please write to us at contact@visuella-dz.com with the subject line "Security Report".
We ask security researchers to report vulnerabilities privately before any public disclosure, to give us time to fix them.
Visuella commits to acknowledging a report within 72 hours and to providing a status update within 7 days.
Good-faith reports — made without exfiltrating or altering data, without degrading the service, and without violating user privacy — benefit from a safe-harbor commitment: Visuella will not pursue legal action against the researcher.
Breach notification
Where required by applicable law (including Article 33 of the GDPR), Visuella will notify the relevant supervisory authority within 72 hours of becoming aware of a personal data breach, and will notify affected users without undue delay where the breach poses a high risk to their rights and freedoms.
Data retention
Personal data is retained only for as long as necessary for the purpose for which it was collected, or as required by applicable law.
