General
The General section of the Setup Page covers the app-wide settings that don't belong to a specific service — your app's name, its version, the coin economy of the game, how often ads appear, and the daily reminder notification.
Nothing here requires any account, ID, or third-party setup. It's just about tuning your app the way you want it.
App identity
Basic information about your app:
- App name — the name that appears under your app icon on the home screen. Choose the exact name you want players to see.
- App version — the version number people see on the store (like
1.0.0,1.1.0, etc.). Follow the "big change . medium change . small fix" convention. - Build number — a whole number (
1,2,3, …) that must go up by at least 1 every time you upload a new build to the stores. Users never see this. - Android store URL and iOS store URL — the links to your app's page on Google Play and the App Store. Used by the "Rate us" button inside the app. Leave them blank until you've published the app.
- Deep link host — a short identifier used when players share a specific logo with a friend. You can leave the default value if you're not sure what to put.
- Cloud save name — the name of the collection Firebase uses to sync players' progress across devices. If you're forking the original demo app, change this to something unique (for example, your app's name) so your data doesn't mix with the demo's.
- Local database name — the name of the small file the app uses to store data on the player's device. The default is fine for most apps.
Coin economy
The app is a coin-based game — players earn coins by playing and spend them on hints. You can tune the whole economy here without touching any code:
- Starting coins — how many coins a brand-new player starts with. Default:
50. - Coins per correct guess — awarded every time a player guesses a logo correctly. Default:
25. - Daily reward coins — the amount given by the daily reward wheel. Default:
100. - Daily reward cooldown (hours) — how long players wait between two daily rewards. Default:
24. - Coins for watching a rewarded ad — the reward for opting into a rewarded video ad. Default:
20. - Cost — reveal a letter — how much a "reveal a letter" hint costs. Default:
20. - Cost — remove a wrong letter — cost of the "remove a wrong letter" hint. Default:
10. - Cost — solve the whole level — cost of the "solve this level for me" hint. Default:
100.
Tip. The defaults are already balanced for a fair, enjoyable game. Only tweak these if you want your app to feel more generous or more challenging than the demo.
Ads pacing
- Interstitial ad frequency — how many completed games happen between two full-screen ads. Default:
3.
A lower number shows more ads (more revenue, but players may find it annoying). A higher number is easier on players (better retention, less revenue). If you're not sure, start with the default and adjust once you have real user data.
Daily reminder
The app can send a friendly notification each day to remind players to come back and collect their daily reward:
- Reminder hour — the hour (0–23) when the notification is sent, based on the player's own time zone.
- Reminder minute — the minute (0–59) inside that hour.
For example, 20 : 00 sends the reminder at 8 PM local time.
Set both fields to -1 to disable the daily reminder entirely.
After saving
Remember: once you've filled in this section and clicked Save, run the sync command in your terminal so your changes reach the app:
make syncFAQ
Frequently asked questions
Where do I get the latest version of the app?
On your CodeCanyon Downloads page, signed in with the account you bought the app with. Updates are free for life — see the Upgrade Code page for the safe way to move to a new version.Do I need a Mac to publish on the App Store?
Yes. Building an iOS `.ipa` file requires Xcode, which only runs on macOS. Android builds work on any operating system. Why don't in-app purchases work when I install the APK on my phone?
In-app purchases, Play Games and other Google Play services only unlock when the build is uploaded to a Play Console track (Internal testing is the fastest) and installed via the Play Store on a device signed in as a tester.Do you provide the source code?
Yes — every CodeCanyon purchase includes the full Flutter source code plus all assets, so you can customise anything. Can I use the same license for two different apps?
No. Envato's Regular License covers a single end product. If you want to publish a second app based on the same template, buy a second license on CodeCanyon. How long does store review take?
Google Play: a few days for the very first submission, then a few hours to a day for updates. Apple App Store: usually 24–48 hours per submission.
